David Gil
CO-OWNER AND HEAD OF INNOVATION AT I+DESSERTS (BARCELONA, SPAIN)
Gil works to offer the catering sector, the food industry and major distribution sectors new products, projects and ideas.
He trained at the Hofmann Catering School, and after completing his studies he worked in kitchens in various locations: Mugaritz, Le Chassagnet , Michel Bras) and Le Calandre.
For the last 10 years he has been Head of Creativity and Pastrymaking with the elBarri Group; heading up the 6 restaurants in Barcelona (Hoja Santa, Enigma, Pakta, Tickets, Bodega, Niño Viejo) and helping out with the conceptualisation of projects such as Heart in Ibiza (Albert and Ferrán Adrià along with Cirque Du Soleil), Little Spain in New York (José Andrés), and the joint project Cakes& Bubbles, with Albert Adrià in London.
He is now co-owner and head of innovation at I+Desserts, a gastronomic study centre based on innovation and the development of projects, ideas and experiences in the world of desserts.
