Amanda Wassmer

With passion and a sense of responsibility, Amanda is the face of the restaurant’s hospitality, and shares her knowledge of wine with future generations of wine enthusiasts.
Born in England, Amanda has spent over 15 years working in Switzerland's best restaurants. She was declared Switzerland's Best Sommelier in 2022 and 2017, and was acclaimed as one of Switzerland's best known wine personalities in Vinum magazine in 2022. Amanda also acquired experience during her stint with Decanter magazine, in the United Kingdom, and at the Zuccardi winery, in Argentina.
Amanda is proactive in the sommelier training process, and also acts as adviser to Swiss hotel organisations.
She in now in charge of managing the beverage strategy of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, and at Memories restaurant, her pairings perfectly complement the recipes served up by husband Sven Wassmer.
