Miquel Canturri
Chef at Mínim's (Andorra La Vella, Andorra)

The grandson of one of the grandes dames of Andorra cuisine, Miquel Canturri divides his time between kitchen work and a post as Culture and Tourism councillor in the Andorra la Vella "Comú".
Born in Andorra la Vella in 1963, Miquel Canturri studied at the Sant Pol de Mar School of Catering and Tourism. After several stints at Jaizubia in Hondarribia and Hotel Boix de Martinet in La Cerdaña, he began work at Hotel Calones in Andorra la Vella alongside his mother and grandmother, Maria Montanya, the first Andorra chef to write an Andorra cookery book.
He worked for a few years with them until he finally decided to branch out on his own, and opened the Mínim's restaurant in 2008 with his wife, where he continues to make a stand for Andorra cookery. In the last five years Canturri has divided his time between cooking and politics, as Culture and Tourism councillor in the Andorra la Vella "Comú".
