Audrey Doré

Audrey Doré was born in Brittany in 1980 and entered the world of wine via an unusual route. After studying Hispanic Studies, it was her connection to Spain that led her to discover a new vocation centred on wine culture. She developed this passion in Barcelona, where she trained as a sommelier at the CETT. Her ability to blend knowledge, emotion and hospitality has established her as one of the most prominent figures in contemporary sommelier culture.

She was part of the team at El Celler de Can Roca, one of the world’s leading gastronomic institutions, for eight years, during which time she developed her own distinctive approach based on precision, curiosity, and the ability to tell stories through a glass of wine. In 2024, she took on a new challenge alongside the Roca brothers at Vii in Girona, a venue dedicated to wine and small plates. There, she continues to champion a personalised approach to sommelier work, connecting major wineries and small producers with diners.

In 2025, Audrey Doré was awarded the National Gastronomy Prize for Best Sommelier, recognising her career, in-depth knowledge of wine, and understanding of the profession that goes beyond mere technique. She was also the first woman to be named Best Sommelier of Catalonia in 2017 — a title she won again in 2019 — and she represents a generation of professionals who have elevated the sommelier's craft to a cultural, sensitive and knowledge-sharing endeavour.
